UV Sterilization is the deactivation of Micro Organisms, such as Bacteria, Viruses, Fungi and Algae by exposure to Ultraviolet light, specifically in the UVC range of light (200 -280 nano metres).
Microorganisms are either killed or inactivated by UVC light as a result of damage to nucleic acids in RNA and DNA which leaves them unable to perform cellular functions, which unlike chemical approaches, UV provides rapid, effective inactivation of microorganisms through a physical process. When bacteria and viruses are exposed to short wavelength UV light, specifically UV in the UVC band (200 -280 nano metres) they are rendered incapable of reproducing and infecting. UV light has a demonstrated efficacy against pathogenic organisms, including those responsible for cholera, polio, typhoid, hepatitis and other bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases.
The SubZero RS system is a device for sanitizing surfaces, such as Buses, Ambulances, Offices, Hotel rooms, Offices, Work Benches, Desks, Computer Keyboards, Shelving and Storage Rack and products on those racks. It is also effective at sanitizing products on the end of a production line, before packing. Example: Surgical face masks after production, where they are Sanitized on a conveyor and boxed in a close environment without further human contact.
